Introduction

This recipe is loved by everyone who tries it. I am putting it in to see what the calorie count is so don't know how good it is when watching calories. Just tastes good. Ingredients

    Ground Beef - 1 lb
    CHOPPED broccoli - 2 frozen 10 pkgs
    Cream Cheese - 8 oz
eggs (Egglands Best or other Omega 3 Eggs) - 2
    Flour - 2 TBS
    Pepper, Black - 1 tsp.
    Garlic Powder - 1/4 tsp.
Onions - 2 TBS Dried, Minced
    Milk - 1.15 oz Nonfat
America Cheese (not Cheese Food) - 3 slices
Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crust (or generic)

Directions

Get the pie crusts to room temperature. Line a 9" pie pan with 1 crust. Brown ground beef (I use 90% lean) with minced onion. Drain if necessary (I never need to.) Meanwhile defrost the Broccoli and drain WELL. Add the flour, garlic powder, and pepper to the ground beef. Mix well. Stir in the milk and cream cheese over med heat until smooth and bubbly. Stir 1 cup of mixture into beaten eggs.

Return to hot mixture and cook for 1-2 minutes more. DO NO BOIL. Stir in broccoli. Pour into pie plate. Arrange cheese slices on top. Add top crust, seal edges. Can brush top with milk if desired. Slit top crust. Cover edges with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove foil, bake for 20-25 minutes more. Let sit 10 minutes before serving. 6 Servings.

You only save 35 calories by using low fat cream cheese or Neufchatel cheese. I'd rather have the real thing and not have dessert.
