Introduction

Yummy and healthy appetizer for the dieter who can't live without bread. Yummy and healthy appetizer for the dieter who can't live without bread.

Ingredients

    2 slices wheat French bread
    2 tsp. basil pesto
    2 Tbsp. finely diced tomatotes
    2 Tbsp. 2% shredded mozzarella

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Layer each slice of wheat French bread with a tsp. pesto, Tbsp. diced tomatoes, and Tbsp. shredded cheese.

Pop in the oven for about 10 minutes, until cheese has melted and edges of bread have begun to crisp. Can toast under the broiler for about a minute for extra browning on top.

Makes 1 serving (2 slices).
