Introduction

Based on the recipe from Land O'Lakes, but uses margarine for a totally different texture. Based on the recipe from Land O'Lakes, but uses margarine for a totally different texture.

Ingredients

    cookies:
    1 c margarine (no butter!)
    2/3 c sugar
    1/2 t almond extract
    2 c flour
    3 T raspberry jam

    glaze
    1 c powdered sugar
    1 1/2 t almond extract
    2-3 t water

Directions

Cream together margarine and sugar. Add almond extract and flour. Chill dough for easy handling. Divide into 32 pieces and roll into small balls.
Press finger (or thumb) into each cookie to make a small dent. Place 1/4 t jam into each cookie.
Bake 12 minutes at 350 degrees.

Mix together powdered sugar, almond extract and water to make a thin glaze. When cookies are cooled, drizzle lightly with glaze .
