Introduction

A fast, filling, and delicious way to start your day. A fast, filling, and delicious way to start your day.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

1/2 cup of Quick Cooking Oats
1 4 oz Dannon's Vanilla Carb Control Yogut (you can also use other flavors if you want)
    1 cup water
    1 tsp cinnamon to taste
a handful of fresh or frozen blueberries. Also can use cut up peaches or apples in season instead of blueberries.
The recipe is sweet enough for me--but you can add a packet of spenda if you want it sweeter.

Directions

In a microwave safe containter, add quick cooking oats, water, cinnamon, and blueberries. Cover with wax paper and microwave for 2 to 2.5 minutes on high. Before serving stir in yogurt. It makes a large, hearty breakfast that will stay with you for the whole morning.

I make a very similar breakfast, except that I don't cook the oatmeal. I make it the night before, in a mason jar, and layer the oatmeal, yogurt, cinnamon & fruit. As it sits, the oatmeal softens and it's perfect by morning. A little honey or splenda is good for additional sweetener, if you like. - 7/29/13
