Ingredients

    1 package active dry yeast
    1/2 teaspoon sugar
    1 cup very warm water
    3 1/4 cusps sifted all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Directions

1. Sprinkle yeast and sugar into very warm water in a 1-cup measure. Stir to disolve and allow to stand for 10 min or until mixture begins to bubble.
2. Combine flour and salt in a large bowl; make a well in the center; gradually work in flour to form a stiff dough.
3. Turn out onto lightly floured surface. Kneed until smooth and elastic about 5 min, using only as much flour as necessary to keep dough from sticking.
4. Spray medium bowl with non-stick spray and place dough in, covering with towl. Allow to rise in warm place for 45 min or until double in volume.
5. Punch down and roll out for desired thinkness and size.
