2 Pork Chops (Thick Cut 1.5 in.)
    1 Cup Pineapple Juice
1 Small Onion (halved and sliced thinly)
    1 tbsp. Thyme
    1 tbsp. Onion Powder
    1 tbsp. Garlic Powder
    2 tbsp. Honey
    1 tbsp. Butter
    1 tbsp. Olive Oil
    2 Garlic Cloves (whole cracked)
    Salt & Pepper to taste

1.) In a skillet over medium-high heat add olive oil and garlic (crack garlic with the side of your knife, remove peel).

2.) Season both sides of chops with salt, & pepper (to taste), garlic powder and thyme then add to pan.

3.) Brown chops on both sides (6-8 minutes per side) until golden brown.

4.) Remove and discard garlic from pan.

5.) Then remove the chops from skillet and place on a plate while making the sauce.

6.) Add pineapple juice and deglaze pan.

7.) Add onion, onion powder, honey, butter, salt & pepper to taste.

8.) Saute until onions are translucent and sauce begins to thicken.

9.) Place chops back into the pan and spoon the Onion Pineapple sauce over the chops.

10.) Cook the pork chops in the sauce 6-8 minutes or until done (160 degrees) and sauce has reduced completely.

Serve with plain baked sweet potato & steamed green beans. If you wanted to watch your sodium even more you could use unsalted butter or reduced fat smart balance for less fat!

Made this for dinner, and everyone enjoyed it.
The onions were such a nice touch.
Especially like the fact that you were very specific in your directions. No guessing involved.

Did not use garlic, garlic powder, or onion powder - allergies.
Rubbed chops with thyme, white pepper, and a little sea salt. Used 2 tbsp chopped red onion and dumped the juice of 1 large can pineapple tidbits + 1/2 the tidbits in the sauce. Steamed organic gr. beans & red Potatoes - too yummy! A+ - 3/10/09
