Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 pound ground beef
    1 teaspoon dry minced onion
    1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 tsp garlic or one "toe" from the clove minced
    1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
    1/4 cup pizza sauce
    4 ounces mozzarella cheese
    11 slices pepperoni

Directions

In a greased 10-inch glass pie plate, mix the ground beef, onion, Italian seasoning, garlic and parmesan cheese. Press into the plate to form a crust. Top with the pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, then the and pepperoni. Bake at 350ยบ 40-45 minutes. Carefully remove the "pizza" from the pan and place on a serving plate. Discard the grease.

If the pie plate is shallow, you might have some grease spill over the edge. Once the it really starts cooking up and making quite a bit of grease, I take a papertowel and try to dab some of the grease out so it doesn't make a mess in my oven. The pizza also shrinks down quite a bit so what looks big in the beginning really ends up much smaller.

Makes 4-6 servings, but hubby and I usually split it.
Can be frozen

I enjoyed this dish, but the calorie count doesn't leave a lot of room for veggies. Low Carb, but to high in fat for my family's taste. . - 3/1/11
