Number of Servings: 36

Ingredients

    1 cup brown sugar
    1 cup splenda or white sugar
    2 cups oatmeal
    2 cups white flour
    2 cups whole wheat flour
    1 cup ground sunflower seeds
    1/2 cup oat bran
    1/4 cup ground flax
    1 tbsp baking soda
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    1 tbsp cinnamon
    1/4 cup oil
    1 tbsp vanilla
    2-3 mashed bananas
    1/2 cup crushed pineapple

    Options: 1 t nutmeg, 3/4 t cloves, 1/2 cup walnuts, almonds, raisins, coconut, craisins, dried apricots, apples, etc.

    I like to use applesauce instead of bananas

Directions

Mix ingredients. If too dry add more fruit. Batter is very thick. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Ice cream scoops work nicely to make bars uniform in size. Dip fork in water to press so they bake evenly. Cool. If you don't plan on eating them right away, put in freezer bags and place in freezer.
