Introduction

I call these "brainy" because of al the omega-3 fatty acids in them. These are super yummy! Soft, chewy, low in calories and fat, and higher in fibre! Make them with Omega 3 eggs, ground flaxseed and margarine with flaxseed oil. Give these to your kids with confidence (and make a double batch because they'll eat them up!     Ingredients:


    Quick Oats Cereal, 1 cup
    Brown Sugar, 1 1/2 cup, packed
    Canola Harvest Margarine, 1/2 cup
    Applesauce, unsweetened, 1/2 cup
    Organic Cold Milled Ground Flax seed, 6 tbsp (
    Born 3 Eggs, 2
    Baking Soda, 1 tsp
    Salt, 1/2 tsp
    Vanilla Extract, 2 tsp
    Flour, white, 1 cup
    Whole Wheat Flour, 3/4 cup
    Raisins, 1 1/2 cups


Directions

Heat oven to 375. Mix all ingredients together except flour and raisins. Beat on low for 1 to 2 minutes. Add flour and beat for another 1 to 2 minutes. Mix raisins in by hand. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
