Introduction

The Pepsi tenderizes the meat in this recipe so that the roast is fork tender, and the combination of ingredients makes its own gravy so this is a time saver for the busy cook. It doesn't have a Pepsi flavor when it is done but it is sooo good. Ingredients

    1 2lb chuck roast
    1 pkg Lipton Onion Soup mix
    1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
    1/2 can of Pepsi
    1 large onion cut into wedges
    3 large potato cut into 1 1/2 inch chunks
    3 large carrots cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
    3 large celery stalks cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
    Seasoning to your tastes (salt, pepper, garlic....)

Directions

1. Rub roast with seasoning that you like if you desire and place in a roasting pan.
2. Place vegtables around the roast.
3.Mix Lipton Onion Soup mix, cream of mushroom soup and Pepsi together and pour over the other ingrediants.
4. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 1/2 -2 hours
