Introduction

This is a really yummy & easy french dip recipe. Serve it with rolls and the sauce on the side. It is high in sodium but using low sodium broth and soups would help. Ingredients

    3 lbs chuck roast
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can French onion soup
    1 (10 3/4 ounce) can beef consomme
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed beef broth
    1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules

Directions

Combine all ingredients in the crock pot. Do not dilute the soups!
Cook on low for 8 hours. Shred the meat and serve on rolls with the sauce on the side. I like to remove the sauce from the crock pot and reduce it a little in a sauce pan.

This is delicious! I made it two weeks ago and my boyfriend (who isn't dieting) requested I make it again tonight. It's just the two of us so we had lots of leftovers which made for awesome lunches. - 6/19/09

I am making this right now. But I just panicked as I was adding it to my meal planner-- the calories/nutritional info is WRONG! How can it be a 4oz serving, and 7 servings when you're using 3 lbs of roast? 4 oz servings would be 12 servings, thus throwing the numbers off! - 6/12/09

Made it. Used sara lee french rolls and added mozzarella cheese slices for my family (not me). Everyone loved it. - 6/2/09
