Introduction

This is just a mix I make every morning to reap the great calcium benefits of chia seeds. This is just a mix I make every morning to reap the great calcium benefits of chia seeds.

Ingredients

    # Chia Seeds (dried), 14 oz
    # Raw Blue Agave Nectar, .5 tbsp
    # Lemon juice, 2 tbsp
    # Lime Juice, .5 lime yields (juice of 1/2 lime)

Directions

Place the chia seeds in a cup or shot glass (shot glasses are much more fun!) and add the rest of the ingredients. Let shot sit for 15 minutes (this is needed to be able to digest the chia seeds, they turn into a "gel"). Then down the hatch!

Am I reading this right? Add "14" oz chia seed??? This seems dry in comparison to the rest of the ingredients. - 7/2/09

    Good
I think STONEFN is right, 14 grams fit into the shot glass fine. This was a good recipe- since it's a gel I have a hard time giving it more then 3 stars, but as far as chia gels go, I would definitely recommend this. - 12/2/10

Likely 14 grams, about 1/2 ounce or a tablespoon. Even that seems a lot to fit in a shot glass with the other ingredients! - 8/31/09
