Trying to find a healthier version of comfort tuna melts. I've just discovered farmers cheese and LOVING IT...it's like cheesecake when mixed with pineapple and makes great, low fat, but rich savory spreads like this!!! Ingredients

3 oz canned salmon
20 grams farmers cheese
1 Tablespoon sherry bbq sauce
(or other tangy-sweet bbq sauce)
1 teaspoon fresh horseradish
1 teaspoon dry onion flakes
1 Tablespoon capers
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Black pepper to taste
Directions
Makes two servings for two open faced sandwiches of about 1/4 cup each. (More if used as a cracker spread, but nutrition info calculated on 2 servings)
1. Mix all ingredients and let sit for half an hour or so in fridge to blend the flavors.
Use as a spread on crackers or slices of cucumbers, as a salad topping or spread over a piece of toast and melt a little lite swiss or provolone cheese with a slice of tomato under the broiler on your toaster oven and enjoy.
