Introduction
This is very quickly recorded here. I'll come back and leave better instructions when I can. However you need to be able to adjust the food layout to work with your container. (This is my first bento, I am in no way an expert) This is very quickly recorded here. I'll come back and leave better instructions when I can. Ingredients
-
1c Rice cooked
I serving heart of palm
10 blackberries
1c mixed field greens
6 turkey meatballs
1 soy sauce packet
A box to use as a bento box. I used a plastic rectangle with a rubber seal on the lid. I got it at the dollar store. It works a charm.
Directions
Makes 1 bento lunch
Cook the rice. Let it cool till you can handle it without burning yourself. Scoop half of the rice into a square of plastic wrap. Wrap the rice ball in plastic and use your hands to shape it. (I made a triangle, a circle or small log works too) Repeat with second half of rice. Cook the meatballs and allow them to cool. Now, arrange the ingredients in your box however they fit best. In mine I put the rice triangles and serving of palm in a silicon bake ware triangle and set it in the bottom of the box. I then filled one side with field greens. I set the blackberries in a cupcake paper and set them onto of the palm hearts. Then I layered the meatballs on top of the rice and set a soy sauce packet on top. Place the lid on your box and your all set.
