Ingredients

    5 chicken breasts
1/4 cup white wine (2 fl oz)
    1 med onion, sliced
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1 teaspoon kosher salt
    1 teaspoon paprika
    1 teaspoon pepper
20-40 garlic cloves, peeled, but intact (OR use 10 teaspoons minced garlic if you don't have cloves on hand)

Directions

I used a 6 quart oval crockpot. Place onion slices and white wine on the bottom of the stoneware insert. In a large mixing bowl, toss chicken parts with olive oil, salt, paprika, pepper, and all of the garlic cloves. Pour into crockpot, on top of the onion.

Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 4-6.

I often use frozen chicken breasts too! Just follow the instructions. It will thaw and cook in 7-8 hours on low! This is a real time saver for me

Makes 5 servings. I usually serve over spinach, with a fresh loaf of whole wheat bread.

    Very Good
Wow, found this recipe at Fit-It & Forget-It, submitted by Nancy Savage, Factoryville Pa. She used the boneless, skinless chicken breast as I did, without the veggies. - 10/15/10
