Introduction

A yummy baked apple cake dish that is perfect first thing in the morning or as a dessert. Slices are big - you could cut them in half for a healthier serving size. Number of Servings: 9

Ingredients

    2 c. diced apples
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. oil
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. four
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. nuts (I use walnuts chopped)

Directions

Makes 9 3 inch pieces

1. Mix apples and sugar, let sit for 30 minutes
2. Add oil and beaten egg
3. Stir in vanilla and dry ingredients (batter will be thick)
4. Pour into (well) greased 8x8 and bake 45-50 min.
