Ingredients
-
WalMart Pre-made Angel Food Cake
4 cups of fresh strawberries, sliced
1 cup fresh blueberries
2 small or 1 large box of "red" sugar free jello
(strawberry, raspberry or cherry flavored)
1 16 oz tub of Cool Whip Lite
Directions
Makes 12 servings
If you have purchased a pre-made Angel Food Cake then go ahead and tear it into medium size pieces (1" in diameter or so) and place them in a cake pan.
If you are making the Angel Food Cake then follow the directions to make the cake. Let it cool for at least 20 minutes before tearing it into pieces.
In a medium sized saucepan, put 2 cups of water and place on high heat until it begins to boil and then reduce to medium heat. Pour your gelatin into the boiling water and stir constantly until dissolved. Remove from burner.
Take strawberries and pour them into the jello mixture and stir. Next get 3/4 cup cold water and add enough ice cubes to bring it up to a total of 1 1/2 cups of water. Pour into jello mixture and stir well until ice has dissolved.
Pour the jello mixture over the angel food cake distributing it evenly all over the cake pieces. Place pan in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours until set. Top with Cool Whip Lite and sprinkle blueberries all over the top.
