Ingredients
-
Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz)
Rhubarb, 2 cup, diced
Milk, 1%, 2 cup
Carnation Nonfat Dry (powdered) Milk, 0.25 cup
Granulated Sugar, 0.5 cup
1 pkg. Jell-o Sugar Free -Mixed Fruit Flavor
Directions
Mix milk and powdered milk together. Let sit.
In a pot, boil rhubarb in water, cook and mix until mush. Add in sugar and jello mix. Mix well and then let cool.
In a 1 qt bag, put 1/2 of the milk mix and 1/2 of the rhubarb mix. Put the rest in another 1 qt bag. Smush bags well to mix milk and rhubarb. Put ice and rock salt in a gallon sized bag and put in 1 sealed qt sized bag. (Suggestion: wear gloves while shaking the bags.... Dont want to freeze fingers...) Shake bag until inside mixture is hard. Take out of inside bag, rinse with cold water to get off salt and store in freezer until ready to eat.
Takes a while to make both bags, but it is a good arm workout!! Also a great thing to let kids make.
Each bag has about 3 (1 cup) serving. Total of 6 between the two bags.
