    1 pound of Ground turkey Italian Sausage
    2 small cans of tomato sauce
    1 small can of tomato paste
    1 can of diced tomatoes
    1/2 a large onion, diced
    1/2 a green bell pepper, diced
    1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 teaspoon of mixed Italian herbs
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1 tablespoon raw sugar (optional)
    water ( I filled the tomato pasted can 3 times with water and each of the tomato sauce cans once)


Heat the oil in a large pot. Add the ground turkey. Brown, stirring often until the turkey is in small pieces and no longer pink. Add the diced onion, peppers, and the seasonings. Brown until the veggies are beginning to soften. Add the tomato products and water and sugar. Stir to combine well and simmer over low heat for about one hour.

One serving = 1/2 cup
