Ingredients

1 cup Split Black Beans(Urad Dal)
8-10 Garlic Flakes
1.5tsps.Cumin Seeds
1.5tsps.Turmeric Powder
5-10 hot Green Chillies
Salt to taste
2-4 cups Water
1 bunch fresh Coriander(Cilantro)Leaves
Directions
PREPARATION
Pick,clean and wash Dal.soak in warm Water for 1 hour.
Peel the Garlic and mince it finely. Slit the Green Chillies lengthwise.Finely chop the Coriander Leaves.
METHOD
Heat Ghee in a pan.Fry the minced Garlic and Cumin Seeds for 1-2 minutes.Add the Turmeric Powder,drained Dal and Slit Green Chillies.Saute for 5 minutes and add the Salt to taste and 2 cups of warm Water.Cook covered for 20-30 minutes stirring occasionally till cooked and dry.Add more Water to help cook the Dal if needed.
Garnish with finely chopped Coriander Leaves and serve hot with Roties.
