Ingredients

    For the Monkfish:

    250 grams Monfish (or any other white fish)
    Juice of 1 Lemon
    1 tsp Oregano
    2 tsbp Olive Oil
    1 Hot Chili Pepper seeded and sliced


    For the Cabbage:


    1 cup Fresh Cabbage chopped
    1 cup Fresh Red Cabbage chopped
    1 cup fresh Savoy Cabbage shreded
    1.5 cups onions chopped
    1 tbsp Mustard seeds
    1 tbsp Turmeric
    1 Hot Chili Pepper seeded and sliced
    50 grams Butter

Directions

Preparing the Fish:

Take the monkfish and season well with salt and pepper. Place it in a baking dish together with the lemon juice, chopped chili pepper and the olive oil. Leave to stand for 10mins. Cover with aluminum foil and then place in a hot oven for 15mins or until fish is cooked to your satisfaction.

Preparing the Cabbage:

While fish is cooking soften the onions with half the butter in a separate cooking pot. Add mustard seeds, chopped chili pepper and turmeric powder. Add cabbage with a little bit of water and cover the pot. Shimmer until cabbage is soft (about 15-20mins) and then add the remaining butter. Season to taste.

    Is that two tablespoons or two teaspoons of oil? Servings sound VERY small--that's only 50 g of fish per person.... - 3/11/09
