Ingredients

    1 1/8 cup hot water
    2 Tbsp oil
    4 Tbsp honey
    1 tsp salt
    1 cup bran flakes
    1 cup broken nuts
    1 cup raisins
    3 ½ cups whole wheat whole grain flour (maybe a tad more if necessary)
    2 tsp quick raising yeast

Directions

20 servings depending on preferred thickness

I use the bread machine in the order given and let it do the mixing for me; then after last rise and punch down, I remove the dough, work it into a loaf shape and transfer it into a lightly oiled loaf pan where I let it rise again double then bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes. Let set for 10 minutes and remove from pan and cool before cutting.

Tip: if the dough is sticky, I sprinkle in a little more flour 2 Tbsps at a time until I’m happy with the way it looks. It should look slightly moist but not be moist or sticky.
