Ingredients

    2 Cups Black Beans Cooked
    1/2 Cup Hatch Green Chilies, Chopped Fine
    1/2 Cup red Onion, Chopped fine
    1 large celery stalk, Chopped fine
    3 Garlic cloves, Minced
    1 tsp canola oil
    1/4 tsp cayenne papper
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/3 Cup hummus
    1/2 Cup Rolled oats
    2 slices bread crumbs (I use Ezekiel)

Directions

Mash or puree half the beans. Add whole reserved beans and all other ingredients execpt for hummus. Mix well by hand. Add enough of the hummusto moisten fairlu well. Mixture may seem a little sticky, but it's better than a bit dry, because they will dry out while cooking. Form flat patties. Cook on medium until browned, approx. 10 minutes per side.
