Introduction

This is great for crisp and brisk days. Entirely vegetarian, delicious and full of fiber! This is great for crisp and brisk days. Entirely vegetarian, delicious and full of fiber!

Ingredients

    1 cup red wine
    7 cups water
    2.5 cups dried split peas
    3 T. chopped garlic
    2 cups roughly chopped carrots
    3 cups roughly chopped onions
    1 bay leaf
    fistful of parsley stems
    1 T. (or to taste) liquid smoke
    3 T brown sugar splenda (or to taste)
    Cayenne salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Fling the first 8 ingredients into crock pot. Set to high cook until everything can be blended. Blend with immersion blender or carefully with regular blender, be sure not to fill it more than halfway! Add liquid smoke, splenda brown sugar, sea salt, pepper, and cayenne to taste. Enjoy!
