Ingredients

4 c. water
4 c. beef broth
1 envelope (4Tbls) onion soup mix
1/4 tsp crushed garlic
6 oz cooked beef diced
3 sticks celery minced
3 carrots minced
.75 c. sweet potato or yam minced
1 c. cabbage minced
1 c. pearl barley
Directions
In large pan put 4 c. broth, 4 c water and an envelope of onion soup mix. Bring to boil then turn down. Add beef (mine was leftover BBQ'd steak) and garlic.
Use food processor to mince the celery, carrots, sweet potato and cabbage then add them and 1 c. of pearl barley. Cook on low until barley is well cooked.
