Introduction

A favorite in our house made lower in fat and calorie's but doesn't doesn't lose and of the wonderful flavor. A favorite in our house made lower in fat and calorie's but doesn't doesn't lose and of the wonderful flavor.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    16 oz. medium shell pasta (1 box)
    4 cups of fat free half & half
    8 Tbsp of light butter (1 stick)
    2 tsp. garlic salt
    8 Tbsp. tomato sauce
    2 cups of frozen broccoli
    2 cups of fresh mushrooms
    1 cup of grated parmesan cheese
    salt & pepper to taste

Directions

1. Cook noodles until half done; strain off water and put back into pot

2. Add fat free half & half, light butter, garlic salt, tomato sauce and broccoli; bring to a hard boil (stir: careful not to burn the bottom)

3. When Pasta is fully cooked add mushrooms and stir into the pasta mixture.

4. Remove from heat and add the parmesan cheese.

5. Add salt & Pepper to taste. Toss & serve. Makes 8 servings

    Very Good
    This is a delicious recipe. My store didn't have light butter so I subbed 1/2 butter and 1/2 Smart Balance, and it turned out really good. Next time I will probably double the amount of broccoli, but otherwise this is a very flavorful recipe. - 7/27/10
