Ingredients
-
Honeysuckle White Chipotle Citrus Marinated Turkey Strips (pre packaged)
Snap green beans (fresh work better than canned)
Navy Beans (canned do just fine)
Directions
Keep in mind the chipotle gives this a bit of kick, so if you have picky eaters or those with a sensitive palet, you may want to try this on yourself first.
Start up your skillet and begin to brown the turkey. Make sure to dump all the juice from the packaging into the skillet as well, it makes for a fine gravy for this meal.
While that is browning on medium heat (no lid), go ahead and snap your snap green beans. I do them in about 1/2 to 1 inch bites. After you have about a cup or so, go ahead and add them to the skillet. They absorb some of the chipotle flavor while simmering, and stay crispier when you do not cover this. Make sure to stir occasionally as adding the other ingredients.
Your meat should be almost fully browned before adding the navy beans. Make sure to stir well, then go ahead and add the can of beans. Stir this well to really infuse your flavors. After 5-7 minutes, this should be well heated and ready.
This one meal fed me for four days. Portion size was about 3/4 to 1 cup each time. This should be plenty for 2-3 people, you may want to add some more of the veggies if you want to stretch it to 4.
