Introduction

Great Crockpot meal for a cookout, gathering or winter meal.

1/2 of the items listed for this recipe are NOT in the Spark People database so I had to use what was in there which made the recipe outrageous in most of the nutrition information. I used MUCH HEALTHIER selections!

Add onion, garlic and chicken, stir to combine.

Put the lid on and cook on low until the chicken can be pulled apart, about 5 hours.

Transfer the chicken to a bowl or cutting board and shred using 2 forks. Return the shredded chicken to the pot and mix well. Adjust spices.

Serve on buns if desired or separately.

Use common sense as to portion size, I used a 1 1/2 cup serving for me.

This recipe was great! I did add a little bit of splenda brown sugar blend to give it a slightly sweeter taste, my whole family loved it! - 5/14/10
