Introduction

There are many versions to cook this dish, you can have it with tons of soup or a dark thick sauce, either way, it'll always be delicious. It is very easy, affordable and the ingredients are mostly your daily items at home. There are many versions to cook this dish, you can have it with tons of soup or a dark thick sauce, either way, it'll always be delicious. It is very easy, affordable and the ingredients are mostly your daily items at home.

Ingredients

    5 piece chicken (drums and/or thighs)
    4 cloves garlic (chopped)
    4 T. soy sauce
    2 T. vinegar
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 T. brown sugar
    3 bay leaf

Directions

1 piece per serving.

1. Thaw out the frozen chicken in a bowl of warm water. Change water every 15 minutes until completely thawed.

2. Heat up a non-stick pan on high for 5 minutes or until hot.

3. While waiting, remove as much fats from the chicken as possible. Drain out water.

4. When pan is ready, place the chickens in the pan. Cook for about 7 minutes on each side or until chickens are brown. DO NOT BURN IT!

5. Add the garlic and bay leaf.

6. Cook together for about 10 minutes.

7. Add soy sauce, vinegar, and water. Cover and bring to a boil. Let the sauce get thick. Add brown sugar, stir and mix for about a minute.

8. Serve over hot rice.
