    Ingredients:
    4 medium tomatoes
    6 fresh basil leaves, chopped (6 to 8)
    8 slices Italian bread, or crusty bread
    2 cloves garlic, (2 to 3)
    6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
    salt and pepper, as needed




Directions

Directions:
Chop tomatoes, season with salt, pepper, chopped basil, and oil. Grill bread, brush with garlic and top with tomatoes.

Makes about 1 to 1.5 cups of bruschetta topping.
This makes about 8-10 servings for an appetizer.
