Nutrition & Calorie Comments

I left the peel on the apples. used the Maple & brown sugar flavour oatmeal. Had to add more water because apples went dry and would have burnt if more moisture was not added. Taste ok - needs something Not sure what.
I left the peel on the apples and cut them up into smaller chunks. I also took the suggestion of leaving it covered the entire time. I used regular oatmeal and added a bit more water when I put it back in the oven. Very tasty! I'll add a little more brown sugar next time I make it though.
I used Pink Lady apples, and Splenda brown sugar. It was a tasty dish topped with a bit of Cool Whip Free.
This was delious. East to make and it doesn't have to many calories.
I have an apple pie recipe that uses apple juice concentrate instead of sugar as a sweetener. I'll try making this with 1/4 c. apple juice concentrate as a substitute for the brown sugar. The apple pie recipe uses 2/3 cup of juice concentrate for 6 cups of apples.
OMG this was absolutely delicious! Just like eating apple crisp! Topped with some sugar free cool whip!!
Very good. I couldn't find the Oatmeal called for but got some "Weight Control" Quaker instant. I doubled the recipe and used 1 pack of Maple & Brown Sugar and one of Cinnamon. Turned out well, but my cinnamon and brown sugar made mine certainly more brown than the picture. Good dessert though.
Had too add a little more water half-way through after stirring because apples were not cooked all the way through & were drying out...BUT VERY TASTY when finished...added some lowfat vanilla ice cream...Yummy as apple pie al a mode!
Easy to make, tasted great. I didn't have fresh apples or peaches, so I used canned peaches in its own juice, substituting the juice for the water. Also added nutmeg and allspice. Served my portion with low sugar ice cream. Yum! Will definitely make again!
I like the idea of regular instant oatmeal and extra cinnamon. Less calories. You can add any extras you want. How about raisins? Thanks.
did try without instant package of oatmeal, replaced is original oatmeal, cinnomon and sugar. thats was great with ice cream vanilla! love it.
Very good, but, next time, I'll add more water. The apples didn't have enough moisture to cook all the way down to soft. They were aldente. Ok for some, not me. Also, I used Kashi maple and brown sugar instant oatmeal for extra fiber.
Help me survive a dessert craving - had this instead of something high calorie.
I left the peel on the apples. I also didn't have the instant flavored oatmeal, so I added a little extra cinnamon and brown sugar with plain quick oats instead. I served this candlelight with my new hubby :) Very easy and impressive tasting!
