Really enjoyed this. I used the Swerve Brown sugar substitute and it was amazing.
Used swerve brown sugar
I love sweet potatoes but do not want to include the sugar.
love the idea will do once I can get them or use potatoes or maybe even cauliflower for a change then would add ginger, cumin & leave the sugar out
NOT SOMETHING I WOULD MAKE AGAIN . TOO MANY CALORIES FOR SOMETHING I DID NOT LIKE THAT WELL.
Still prefer mine whole with a little butter, salt and cinnamon.
This is the best way to enjoy yams. Some time I sub the brown sugar with maple syrup.
Splenda brown sugar and half a cup fat free half & half made it ok, two guests missed the marshmallow , however.
Cut the brown sugar in 1/2 and used the suggested squash for 1/2 the recipe. Delish!
great idea ... light and fluffy - we used only 1 tbs of spenda brown sugar.... still plenty sweet !
I left out the sugar and lightened up on the cinnamon. It was very good!
I cut the calories even more by using cut up and cooked butternut squash for one third to one half of the potatoes. just boil it right in with the sweet potatoes. Use a bit less half and half since squash can be watery. i also use Splenda brown sugar and just a dash of cinnamon. Always a hit here.
I think this is much too sweet. Why add sugar and cream to sweet potatoes, when they are naturally sweet and have a lovely flavour?
I loved this recipe, but I am only able to allow myself a half portion due to the carbs. My family thought that it tasted great, too!
Last night I cooked up a med.sized prime rib roast for four of us and it was wonderful.I split a large sweet potato in half for two of us and then put AuJus(prime rib juice)over them and they were wonderful,no sugar at all and we both(girlfriend and I)really like them that way.
