Nutrition & Calorie Comments  

I like this recipe. I used 4 peppers and regular pork Italian sausage. Skipped the onion and sauce. Calories were higher but still much less than the traditional recipe route. Next time I will use turkey sausage and crushed tomatoes.
I made this into a hoagie! I found whole wheat, low carb hoagie rolls at Publix and tore out some of the middle, spooned in the sausage and peppers, topped with fat free mozzarella and I was in heaven! Next time, I'll spoon the leftovers on pasta!
