Very, very good. I added more kale because I just love kale and it's nutrients are excellent. I was kind of nervous about the bacon bits, but they were great. I will definitely be making this again and again. Thanks! - 4/11/10

Excellent recipe! I've never had it from Olive Garden, but this soup was very flavorful, a bit rich from the 'fake' cream, and hearty! I used 2 strips of smart bacon (couldn't taste it, will just leave it out next time) and no-sodium chicken bullion + water. This will be a regular in our diet! - 12/18/10

So good! I used Gimme Lean sausage style instead of regular sausage and bacon. I enjoyed it and so did my boyfriend, but the kids didn't care for it. Trying it again with chicken sausage this time. - 10/14/10

This was really good. The simplicity makes it even better. I think next time I will add more broth and garlic, and use twice as many homemade bacon pieces. Thanks. - 11/28/12

This came out really great. I used your version but cooked it in the crockpot for about 4 hours on high temperature. I added more kale, omitted the bacon and added about a cup of onions. Delicious! - 10/9/11

I really did like the recipe, and I will use it again. However, I thought it called for too much sausage. I will probably use 3/4 or 1/2 of a lb. of sausage instead. I also used 4 cloves of garlic instead of 2 to give it that extra punch that I like. - 3/22/11

I love this soup! I sometimes don't even use the sausage and use real bacon/ham and it's just as good. I usually double the broth, add tons of kale, and just keep the same amount of potatoes for my liking. Yum! - 2/22/11

Did not adhere to the low fat features, but ended up with a soup that company enjoyed and wanted the recipe for. I was unable to find turkey sausage, so used pork. Also used 1/2 cup typical half-and-half. Wish that volume of chicken broth had been specified. I used a quart. Turned out well. - 2/19/17
