Introduction

I don't like fish much, but I love this baked tilapia recipe! I think the sauce can be used with other fish/seafood. I don't like fish much, but I love this baked tilapia recipe! I think the sauce can be used with other fish/seafood.

Tilapia is one of my favorite fish because it's so mild and flaky. The sauce is great, and I added capers to give it just a little something extra. You've got a real winner with this one! Thanks for sharing!!! - 2/6/09

This was great! I made it with some brown rice and Asparagus Asiago (recipe here on SparkRecipes!). It was a nice combination. Instead of tilapia we used salmon (they were out of tilapia at the store we went to) and it was still delicious. We eat fish regularly so this is a keeper. Thanks! :o) - 1/12/09

Fabulous! I didn't broil it at the end because it looked perfect and I didn't want to risk drying it out. I added extra cayenne because I love spicy food. It was great! Very moist! - 4/18/09

This is a great recipe, but I modified it a little. I took out the garlic salt and just used garlic, because when you use garlic salt, you get more salt than garlic. I just thought everyone might like to know that. - 4/21/09

This was fantastic. Reminded me of scampi flavors. I did modify just a bit. I used Mrs. Dash Extra Spicy seasoning instead of cayenne, and Old Bay instead of salt; I added 2 t of garlic and 1 t of garlic powder instead of garlic salt; and I used 2 T of lemon juice. - 1/15/09

An easy and fabulous dish! I pretty picky when it comes to fish, which is why I avoid cooking it myself. However, this recipe was easy and fabulous. I used mahi mahi, the juice of 2 meyers lemons which are sweeter than other lemons, and butter. Serve with rice to savor the yummy sauce! - 3/31/09

I used a medium onion sliced thinly and the lemon that I got the juice from to spread over the fish, along with about 1/2 tsp. of Lemon pepper. I also do this with salmon and then I add some olive oil. (I also switched the margarine for Smart Balance) Talk about moist and YUMMY! Make extra. - 7/4/09

people need to start putting what they served things with... this fish was fantastic. but next time I'm not going to use as much lemmon juice. it was a bit tangy, but took the bite out of the cayenne. anyway... I served this over wild rice and steamed broccli. - 12/2/08

Used garlic powder for garlic salt & unsalted butter instead of "spread," then omitted the sauté step (dirty another pan! no thanks) and it turned out great on 4 oz salmon fillets. Cayenne pepper really distinguished it from the usual treatments for fish. - 4/4/10

I make this every week and add a little white wine, garlic and toasted sesame seeds. Please ignore warnings about eating this fish as the warnings that were recently in the press are totally unfounded. While not a source of omega 3 not enough fat to be as bad as bacon or hamburger. Very tasty! - 4/14/09

This was quick and easy. We typically like lemon, so I added 4 Tbls of Realemon juice instead of the 3. That was definitely TOO much, but that was my bad, not the recipe. And I think I'd add a bit more cayenne. I was too cautious on that this time. The recipe itself was tasty. - 6/19/09
