Ingredients

    1 1/2 cups sugar
    1 cup butter
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 cups flour
    2 tsp cream of tartar
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/4 tsp salt

    4 TBLS Sugar
    1 TBS Cinnamon

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs. stir in dry ingredients.
Mix remaining sugar and cinnamon. Drop and coat spoonfuls of dough into cinnamon and sugar. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes about 6 dozen (72) cookies

    WOW. Definitely better than any other recipe I've tried... usually they come out flat and crusty. :(
    I made mine a little bigger, also, and came out with 35, so a little over 100 calories each, but it's worth it.

    Incredible!
    The key is using fresh baking soda and cream of tartar. I used older ingredients last year and they came out flat and sad. This year's were Superb! - 12/29/12

    I've made these delicious easy to make cookies often and they have a unique and delicious flavor and my family loves them and they disappear too fast. I make mine twice the size so only get about 3 dozen of them. - 4/15/12
