Ingredients

    1/2 lb ground breakfast sausage
    1/4 cup all purpose flour
    3 cups of milk
    Salt
    Pepper

Directions

1. Cook sausage in a large skillet over midium-high heat until browned, about 8 minutes.

2. Sprinkle flour over the mean and stir until blended. Stir in the milk. Bring mixture to boil, stirring until thickened. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

3. Serve immediately over bisquits.

    This is about the same as mine but I use sage flavored sausage and put in some dried bay leaves and thyme so it doesn't taste as floury. Great Recipe thanks!

    Very Good
    This tastes just as good as the full fat version I learned from my mother, which uses butter in addition to the flour as a thickener. Thanks for the alternative! - 11/3/09
