Ingredients
-
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
8 skinless, boneless chicken thighs
Cooking spray
6 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons cider vinegar
Directions
Combine all spices in a bowl. Mix well, then add chicken thighs to the bowl and make sure they all are coated evenly with the spice mixture. Coat broiler pan with cooking spray and place chicken on pan. Broil for 5 minutes on each side. While the chicken is broiling, mix the honey and cider vinegar. After the chicken is done cooking, brush the mixture (make sure to only use 1/2) on the chicken and broil for another minute. Repeat this on the other side. Serving size is 2 thighs. Enjoy!

I used onion powder as I dislike garlic and cut the size in half. The flavor is really good, and I used pizza peppers as I didn't have red pepper. I put my oven on 400 and broil, and it took more like 10 minutes a side to cook to 165 degrees. I'm sure fresh chicken thighs would be better than frozen - 12/14/18

This is one of the best chicken recipes I've found on this site! Love how easy it is to make, and the combination of spicy & sweet is DELICIOUS. I can't handle too much spice, so I used less of some of the spices and it still tasted great. Could probably substitute taco seasoning for a milder taste. - 3/5/14

I had the same problem as "SaxBabe"...put them in for the alotted time plus a few more minutes & they weren't even close to done. Not sure if it's b/c I used bone-in thighs instead of boneless, but either way, just know it may take at least 2x longer. Also, subst'd red wine vinegar & came out fine. - 1/23/12

This was surprisingly easy. And amazingly delicious! I didn't have a broiler pan, so I used a roasting rack on a backing sheet. I'm not a fan of thighs, so I subbed in thin chicken breasts & served the dinner with dijon roasted broccoli and roasted russet potato slices. Thanks for the great recipe! - 11/11/10

I made this tonight even wtih some skeptacism after reviewing the nutrional facts. I know they can't be right because there is almost no sugar listed, but there is 6 TBSP of honey listed = one TBSP has 17 grams of sugar. Please update. It has a unique taste. I enjoyed it and will make again. Thx - 9/3/09

I cut the seasonings down a bit because most people thought it was too spicy. I personally should have left them as they were since mine was not spicy enough. I thought this was a tasty recipe and a nice alternative to plain chicken. I might add a few more spices that are my personal favorites. - 6/15/08
