I wasn't as excited as everyone else about these. Hubby thought that they were pretty good. Not sure that they will be on the menu that often. Needed a bit more flavor or something... - 2/2/09

Instead of serving in a tortilla, I served over rice which wasn't bad. Used black beans instead of kidney and left out sour cream. Added in some hot banana peppers. Overall tasty but would taste better in a tortilla than over rice. - 1/26/14

Excellent! I used equal parts lime & lemon juice, 1 tsp dried red pepper flqakes, 1/2 c fresh chopped red pepper, & a little sprinkle of the jalapeno pickled peppers for a spicy version. My husband got hungry & ate some before I shredded & added the beans. He loved the flavor! - 7/7/10

I wish I had a lime! I would make this tonight. I wonder if I substitute a lemon how it will taste. - 8/3/20

My husband was more impressed with this recipe than I was last time I made it. He really liked it and has requested it again tomorrow. For me, it was just ok - i'm not sure about the salsa/citrus fruit base. Needed some more reasoning I think - 6/2/11

Oh wow! These were amazing! Left out the beans and added some salsa verde to the tortilla. So tender and juicy and full of flavor. These were so good, it is very easy to eat too much. Definitely will be making this meal again. Thanks! - 1/20/11

    Very Good
Was very good, could use a little more spice for my taste, so next time, may add some cumin and cilantro. Also, used a Green Enchilada sauce as well for some kick. - 12/25/09

It was ok. I added some of my own seasoning before browning. Next time I will leave out the salsa or use a different salsa. When it mixed with the citrus, it just made a weird taste. Overall it was pretty good. - 11/14/09

Me and Hubby really liked this one. We used Whole Grain Tortillias and Reduced Fat Cheese rather then Sour Cream. This is something we shall deffinatly be making again. - 3/30/08

This is so yummy!! I added a little extra grapefruit juice and an extra can of beans just to make it go farther. I also bought whole wheat tortillas to make it a bit healthier! Its was so easy to make, and I love the crock pot! It's the best for busy ppl who dont have alot of time at night! - 3/10/08

This is one of the best dinners ever. So easy and yet so good. I made it for my parents and they loved it. I added cabbage to the tortillas also which turned out really good. I think everyone should try this. - 3/6/08
