Ingredients

    2 medium bananas
    1 cup of frozen blueberries
1 cup home made almond milk with a 1/4 teaspoon vanilla and sweetened to taste with raw honey (You could use Almond Breeze Sweetened Vanilla Milk, as I did in this recipe list, but it wouldn't be raw).

Directions

In a blender combine 2 medium bananas, 1 cup of frozen blueberries and 1 cup Almond Breeze almond milk (or use home made sweetened with raw honey). Blend on a medium high setting for a little under a minute, or until it is all mixed in tiny pieces. Makes one large 2 1/2 cup serving.

I'd throw in some spinach as well for added nutrition. Doesn't really alter the flavor, just the color a bit. - 10/4/13

Thank you for trying it. I have it often and find it to always be satisfying. It is an easy ratio to keep in mind too so you can switch out the berry type and the nut milk type for variation and depending on what you have on hand.

Thank you for catching that! I had inadvertently clicked the vegan choice when I had meant to select vegetarian. I think it has been fixed now.

I think one banana is just fine for one serving but that is just me; it sounds yummy! :) - 3/30/10

You are absolutely right, but this makes a large 2 1/2 cup serving. For a normal sized serving I use one banana, 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries and 1/2 cup almond milk. That makes one glassful, about 10 ounces. Sometimes I want a big drink instead of a meal and sometimes I want one with a meal.

Not a big fan of smoothies. I prefer to eat my calories rather than drink them. However I had some blueberries I needed to use so I made this. It was excellent. - 5/20/19

I used the almond milk that I had, and strawberries instead of blueberries (only b/c thats what I had on hand). Anyway, guess what: IT WAS DELICIOUS!! My boyfriend just guzzled it down! Thanks for the recipe! - 6/28/10

    Very Good
Yum! I love smoothies, I just haven't been making them lately. This reminded me how good they are so back on the menu they go! I like simple, but it is also good with fun add ins like flax meal (though it does change the texture.) - 6/9/10
