Introduction

Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 lb. lean sausage (crumbled and cooked),
    ½ lb. grated sharp cheddar cheese made with 2% milk
    8 slices Sara Lee Soft & Sooth whole wheat loaf bread (crusts trimmed)
    1.5 cup egg beaters
    2 cups 1% milk
    1 teaspoon dry mustard
    pepper to taste

Directions

Use a greased 9x13 dish. Place bread as a liner in bottom of dish, then cheese, then sausage. Sprinkle the above evenly over bread. Mix together eggs, milk, mustard, and pepper to taste. Pour over bread, sausage, cheese mixture.

Chill overnight; then bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.

Makes approximately 12 servings around 3"x3" sqaures.
