Very good. I used a tbl spoon of Olive Oil in a skillet and browned the outside of the roast with parsley, garlic, & pepper before putting it in the crock pot. I added Potatoes, Onion, and carrots as well. Even better the second day when re-heated. - 10/23/08

I put some peeled white potatoes on the bottom of the crockpot and mixed the soup mix with a bit of water to pour over everything, then spread the canned soup over the meat. Carrots would also be good in this dish. Delicious with a side of mixed veggies! - 1/17/08

I made this 2 nights ago and it was awesome!!! It was the first time making pot roast and couldn't believe it was this easy. I also added chopped potatoes, carrots, and onions and cooked on low for like 9 hours.

It was delicious served with rice! Thanks!

I used a 3lb bottom round roast, a can of 98% fat free cream of mushroom soup, a can of beef broth and a can of water. Didn't have onion soup mix so I used onion powder. Also added potatoes and carrots. EXCELLENT!! Will definitely make this again and again! - 3/30/10

Very good. I brown the roast on all sides first. I then mix the soup and the onion mix together, thin with some water and then pour over the roast. Add potatoes, carrots and onions to the bottom and calorie count separate for those. Thanks! - 10/18/16

It was very tender, but the onion soup was so strong I'm not a huge fan it was a lingering smell in the house for days. I like food but I don't like to smell the same food for days. - 8/15/16

I been doing this for years - it's the only way I ever do pot roast BUT I add 1 cup Tawny Port wine with soups and add baby carrots and sliced fresh mushrooms for the last hour on high - talk about flavor! Usually serve over Healthy Choice noodles. - 10/1/13

My family uses a can of pepsi to make this a pepsi roast. The juice becomes the gravy. Can thicken it if want to. We add carrots (baby or regular peeled) into the roaster pan during the last two hours of cooking. Cook roast at 350 for 3 hours. Very delicious. The pepsi will change the calorie count - 9/10/12
