It was yummy!! I followed the recipe, but next time I will add carrots and celery to the potatoes as I'm cooking them. Very tasty, very easy. - 2/14/10

Yum! I added a large stalk of celery and a medium onion to the potatoes as they cooked. Next time I'll add fresh garlic as well. I stirred in a T of nutritional yeast for a vegan cheesy flavor and extra B vitamins. :) - 5/12/10

It was OK - not like my mom's, but I'm sure she adds cream and butter. :) I added my own chopped onion and garlic instead of the powders and salts. Be careful - this recipe is for 5 medium potatoes at most - if you are using large ones, you only need two and a half. May make again, not sure. - 12/23/09

I'm making this today. Instead of salt I'm going to add a tsp of low sodium chicken bouillon to it and some celery and a little sauteed onion. I'm also usng unpeeled red potatoes and maybe sprinkle a little fat free cheese in the bowl. I love a good potato soup! - 5/23/08

So yummy. We made this when I was sick and it was fabulous! We did add extra spices to suit our tastes and some carrots for a serving of veggies but all in all this was a great recipe! - 5/22/08

I liked it, and it was so easy! I added a lot more spices to it, such as celery salt, dill, chives, etc. I think next time I would chop up some celery and throw it in there, too. I put some shredded cheddar on top as well, which really made it special. - 2/12/08

Sounds good! I'd have to lower the amt salt, but will give this a try. I'll bet it's good with chunks of cheese in the bottom of the bowl melting in, too! But would count for extra calories and fat! - 1/16/08

Very nice and easy dinner. I wouldn't put in more than 1/4 t of pepper. I made it with soy milk instead of real milk, and it was fine. - 2/4/13

This sounds good--I am going to make it and kick it up a little with some extra veg's and add at the end couple of slices of cooked bacon (crumbled)--knowing it will raise the calories! - 1/11/10

A little more pepper than I like, but otherwise good. Next time I won't use so much pepper. - 11/4/09

I'm making this for supper tonight. I'll be using skim milk for the water and fat free 1/2 and 1/2 for the milk. Instead of thickening it with flour, I'm going to use instant potatoes as I'm trying to stay away from flour (and sugar) for a couple of weeks. I'll rate it tomorrow - 10/10/09

Nice hearty soup. Used unpeeled red potatoes. Added more spices as it was a little bland for my taste. Good on a snow day - 12/14/08
