Introduction

A fun party finger food! A fun party finger food!
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

1 pound of seedless grapes, pulled from the stems and rinsed
1 3-oz. package regular gelatin, flavor of your choice (NOT prepared)
    Water

Directions

Spread the gelatin mix on a plate, about 1/4 at a time.
Rinse the grapes under water, and place a handful on the plate.
Shake the plate gently to roll the grapes in the gelatin, coating the grapes.
Place coated grapes into a bowl.
Repeat with the remaining ingredients until all of the grapes are covered.
Place the bowl and let set in the refrigerator for about 1 hour, until the gelatin is set.
These are better the colder they are.
I've used red grapes with cherry gelatin, but you can probably use green grapes with lime, or any combination you'd like.

Absolutely tremendous. We use the Ziploc technique to cover the graves, then freeze them on a cookie sheet.
When they're solid, we put them in the snack size bags. When we need a little treat, we just grab the bag. If these don't tickle your taste-buds, you must have had your sweet tooth pulled!

They were very good! I used red grapes and sugar free raspberry jello, but I'm looking forward to trying other combos! Mine looked crusty also, but that could well have been my mistake :-) My 3 year old was NOT impressed, but that wasn't a surprise to me... she's weird. - 8/25/10

I made these for a 4th of July Barbecue yesterday, and they were a hit! I did Red grapes with red raspberry jello and green grapes with strawberry banana jello. The red grapes were far more popular, but both were good! - 7/5/10

I made these as soon as I saw the recipe today. They are awesome and my kids love them! I used sugar free raspberry jello because the grapes are sweet enough. Can't wait to try other flavors. I'll also give these as fun gifts instead of overnight sticky buns that are full of calories and fat! - 1/2/09

My kids had a great time helping put the "glitter" on the grapes. We put the jello into a ziplock bag, added the grapes, and shook. We put the grapes in the freezer to snack on during the game. Easy and fun! Thanks for sharing. - 1/20/08

used sugar free jello and really reduced the caloric intake. red grapes with strawberry jello! very very good for a sweet tooth! I used frozen grapes, poured the jello over it and shook it all up! So much easier. Also could used a big zip lock baggie and shake it all up that way. Great simple idea - 8/6/13

I made this for a baby shower with a rock n' roll theme, thinking it would be a cute dish. I followed the directions exactly, and I must say this is one of the grossest things I've ever eaten. Plus, they really aren't glittery, just slimy. It ruined a great bunch of grapes, so I threw them out. - 9/25/12

Saw this recipe awhile back and forgot about it until I came across it again tonight. Being an impulsive spender, I immediately drove to Target just to buy a sixty-seven cent package of Jello to try them out. I made a fourth of the recipe, which is three servings, and could have eaten more! - 9/23/12

Love these! What a unique texture. The only draw back was the red dye on my fingers and tongue. We'll try a lighter-colored gelatin next time. (This time was cherry on red and white grapes) - 9/20/12

Super cool idea! First the sweetness hits your tongue with a rush of juice from the grapes, and the aftertaste is sour and sweet all at once. I did a blind taste test with sugar free vs. regular jello, and they are virtually identical! Making it healthy AND delicious. Love it! - 8/2/12
