Introduction

A nice blend of seasonings, light lemon flavor to compliment this light fish! A nice blend of seasonings, light lemon flavor to compliment this light fish!
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    12 oz Tilapia
2 TBS Smart Balance Light Margarine
    1 TBS minced garlic
1.5 tsp Tastefully Simple Garlic Garlic Seasoning
    1 tsp dried parsley
    2 TBS lemon juice
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Rinse tilapia fillets and place in a shallow dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, evenly sprinkle lemon juice over top. Add garlic garlic and parsley seasonings.

In a small saucepan on the stove, melt the margarine and and add the minced garlic. Allow to simmer about 30-60 seconds and then pour over fillets. Cover and place in the refrigerator 20-30 minutes to allow the marinade to flavor the fish.

Grill for about 5 minutes on each side, or until fish flakes easily. Use marinade to baste fish during grilling. (Works really well on a small indoor grill, be careful when flipping as the fish is generally very thin and can fall apart easily!)

Makes 4 3-oz fillets.

I used garlic salt and added a little olive oil. poured the mixture over my fish and put a little cayenne on the tops... fantastic flavor. baked it in a dish for 13 min and broiled for 3 min. Served over wild rice and steamed broccoli. The sauce is great on everything. - 12/2/08
