Oh my WORD this was AMAZING!! I love that I'm getting good fats with the avocado, instead of using mayo! Honestly, I think this is one of the best tuna sandwiches I have EVER had. Maybe the best sandwich altogether!! - 5/22/08

I was craving tuna salad for lunch today and wanted to find a recipe that wasn't overloaded with mayo. I am so happy I found this recipe. I had never thought to put avocado in a tuna salad, but it was so delicious! I added some chives and garlic to it and served it on bread. - 5/23/10

The ingredient list is missing the Horseradish. I only noticed because it is listed on the nutritional breakdown page. - 5/10/10

I did a variation on this recipe: I added chopped celery and cilantro to the tuna then I put it on a bed of lettuce with the biggest losers spicey guacomola, olives, tomato, and sliced almonds flavored with tomatoe basil. I did not put in the cider or parsley flakes - 4/30/11

I basically tripled the amount of tuna to up the protein and the flavor...but really really good. Will become a lunch staple. - 8/29/10

I am eating it right now, and it's incredibly delicious! The avocado is an incredible substitute for mayo on any sandwich! This has moved to the top of my favorite tuna recipes. - 2/3/10

This was fantastic. I served it in flour tortillas rather than pitas and it worked well, but I'm confident pitas would taste great, too. My boyfriend was amazed that this didn't have any mayonnaise in it. - 5/17/08

This was a great recipe, thanks for sharing. I added extra avocado because I had one to use up from my CSA fruit box. When I was in the garden to get the parsley I also grabbed some basil, rosemary, thyme and sage just for fun. It was fabulous!! - 8/31/10

I messed up - did not have pitas so I put this on regular white bread - pretty soggy. I'll try it with pita bread next time. - 11/10/09

My husband can't have onion, so i skipped it and put in extra fresh squeezed lemon juice but put it on a fresh green salad mix instead of pita to reduce calories - and we loved it. - 7/11/08

Help me understand something about this recipe. It looks amazing however...if it's a "lettuce wrap" why is it in a pita? All lettuce wraps I've had are LETTUCE wrapped around whatever you're eating...no bread or bread product. Am I missing something here? - 4/29/15

My first part dropped out - SPOCKKS (hubby) made this last night & it was awesome! He used dill & tarragon instead of parsley; lemon juice instead of vinegar, and we had no pita so he toasted some bread. It's a definite "make this again" (tuna has vitamin D!). - 3/11/15

Not bad at all. It was really good. I am glad that I added the celery into it. Also there is no way it only makes 4 servings. I ended up with at least six. - 3/2/17

I used a 21 grain and seed bread instead of pita bread. Otherwise, is really, really a great way to get some more avocado. - 2/17/17

I liked it. What didn't work for me was the apple cider vinegar, I may try it again with another vinegar or just lemon juice. Good though. - 9/30/15
