This was a very good alternative to the smoothie and the real deal cheesecake! It was actually very rich and satisfying. I use sugar free pudding in my smoothies, dried milk (no one likes skim in the carton), with water and ice. Never thought of it like this. I will make this again. - 7/3/08

I can't handle artificial sweeteners they give me migraines. I try to eat clean and avoid anything processed or artificial so far all the low cal recipes I find are loaded with fake stuff! - 5/24/13

Great recipe. I disagree with asking people not to make negative comments. They are alerting us to issues we may face when making the recipe and this gives us time to search for an alternative ingredient if we have the same issue. For me it's constructive. There are plenty of positive comments. - 8/14/13

I thought this recipe tasted way too much like all the artificial chemicals contained in the sugar-free pudding. Loved the concept; disliked the result. - 8/14/13

This is really good and sooo easy to make!. I couldn't find the cheese cake flavor pudding and used chocolate. Deep rich flavor. I'm trying vanilla pudding with vanilla protein powder next. - 7/8/13

Yep---I cannot tolerate artificial sweeteners either.... Fortunately, my diet is geared more toward trying to get adequate nutrition than toward cutting out all sugars... I will simply try this with regular pudding and just be thankful for the additional protein. Thank you for the recipe! - 8/16/13

It was good as written. I re-made it later with soy milk, rice protein powder and extra cocoa, much better for me and better tasting too. - 8/15/13

I absolutely LOVE this pudding concept...however I kind of didn't follow the directions :) I used 2 cups milk, the cheesecake pudding mix, and 2 scoops of chocolate protein mix (next time I'm going to 3 because it was just a little loose). Next time I plan on mixing in some strawberries! YUM! - 7/3/13

This REALLY needs regular pudding mix...the sugar-free just doesn't do it. It's not quite chocolatey and not quite cheesecake-y. It's just sort of vaguely, artificially sweet. If your diet allows, I say go for the full sugar version and treat it like an indulgence. - 8/29/13

I am also unable to handle artificial sweeteners; I get stomach pains. I have found Relivables, an all natural sweetener from Reliv, to be the best. It is nice and sweet and has no side affects. Rosemary DaRoza

My husband and I tweeked this a bit. We have the chocolate peanut butter powder, which is 30g per serving. So we did one scoop of the powder, one packet of sugar free pudding and made it the way the box said (using lactose free milk and a banana also). Came out amazing, great consistency :) - 8/31/13

I added a little unsweetened cocoa and used peanut butter/chocolate protein powder. It's easy and tastes good. The protein powder was still a bit grainy but not enough to worry about. Tasty way to get that extra protein. - 3/20/14

The sodium content is high because pudding mixes are higher than people realize but as an occasional treat. this is excellent - flavor is delicious and it's so easy to make!

I am not giving a rating for this recipe - from eating real, raw and organic, [milk free, soy free, preservative free] - the ingredients alone in Jello Instant Pudding, Cheesecake flavor, this is not real food. We are not garbage cans! - 8/14/13

Came out AWESOME!!! I did change a few things...2 scoops of Body Fortress Banana Crème Whey Protein Powder (60 grams of Protein) and I used the Fat Free Sugar Free Banana Cream Pudding/Pie Jello. Finally can't taste that nasty chalking powder and after taste. Thank you for this recipe! - 3/27/16

There is fantastic unsweetened chocolate pudding on the market - Dr. Oetker - very chocolaty, much much better than Jello or Royal! It is German brand, but it is also made in Canada and some stores carry it. Check your local gourmet store or european specialty store. - 9/1/15

I used almond milk instead of cow's milk and while it tasted awesome, it was more of a smoothie consistency (straw-worthy). Evidentally, instant pudding mix doesn't set into a pudding-like consistency with almond milk (not sure how other dairy alternatives will fare). - 7/5/14

On taste alone i had to rate this as incredible. However, it was very runny, not at all the consistancey of pudding. In that I was very disappointed. My son-in-law and my 7 yr old grandson loved it. Made it a second time with same results. Third time used just milk and it came out fine. - 1/12/14

OK, so I'll admit I haven't tried this yet, as I don't have any pudding mix on hand right now, but I definitely want to try this right away. Always looking for healthy snacks. I just won't be using any sugar-free products, ever, unless they're naturally sugar-free. I'll fix the rating if I must. - 9/12/13
