Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    Tandoori Chicken

    6 boneless/skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup plain n/f greek yogurt
    2 cloves crushed garlic
    4 tsp grated fresh ginger
    1 Tbsp paprika
    1 1/2 tsp cumin
    1 1/2 tsp coriander
    1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
    salt
    black pepper

    Tzaziki sauce

1 cup n/f fat yogurt ( I like greek, but it's very thick. Reg is fine)
3 cloves of garlic, crushed to a paste
    1/2 tsp salt
1 6 inch cucumber, seeded, peeled, and minced
    2 tsp lemon juice
    black pepper

Directions

Put chicken breasts and next 9 ingredients in a large zip-lock bag and massage for a couple of minutes to mix well. Refrigerate for 4 hours. Remove from marinade and grill on a hot grill until juices run clear, turning once. About 15 minutes.

Mix all the ingredients for the tzaziki sauce together in a bowl when you marinate the chicken. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

To serve, slice the cooked breast cross-wise into three pieces and spoon about 1/4 cup of the tzaziki across it. Good served with roasted cauliflower and a chopped greek salad w/ balsamic vinaigrette.

This chicken dish is outstanding. I used another Tziziki recipe though. Other than that, I followed the directions exactly accept instead of grilling, I baked it at 350 for 30 minutes covered and 10 more minutes uncovered. Delicious! - 1/4/12

This was amazing!! I started the chicken marinade and made the tzaziki sauce the night before. All I had to do when I got hoem from work was grill the chicken. I served with cous cous and some raw cut veggies, which i also dipped in the tzaziki sauce. Delicious! - 9/24/08

This is the best Tandoori chicken recipe I have tried. Not only is it healthy, but extremely flavorful. We had couscous and home made roasted bell pepper hummas to go with it and it was a huge success for the whole family. - 3/7/11

I marinaded the chicken last night and left in the fridge overnight. I made the tzaziki sauce this morning. We grilled tonight. The author says "leftovers are great cold the next day." To that I say "what leftovers?" Wonderful! Used the Tzaziki sauce as salad dressing too. Mmmmm! - 7/18/10

I had to bake because grill is put away for winter. I used boneless/skinless thighs. It was wonderful and the taziki sauce is one of my favorites. Always looking for different ways to do chicken and this is a keeper! - 1/8/12

Something doesn't add up with your calorie summary. When you add up the ingredient breakdown per serving, you only get 153... NOT 183. Plus a reduction in protein and carbohydrates.

Tastes great, but the nutrition information is inaccurate. Maybe edit/save again and see if it recalculates?

SO delicious!!! I grilled the chicken on a stove-top grill pan, and also marinaded the chicken overnight. Served with cous-cous cooked in chicken broth with garlic and lemon and raw carrot sticks. The sauce was amazing and was poured over everything! - 12/20/13

Decided to double the recipe for the tzaziki sauce, doubled the garlic and spices, went to add the yogurt and realized I did not have enough yogurt to double... oops! I added some sour cream but it's still pretty intense. Going to have some serious garlic breath in my house tonight! - 4/16/12

We love tandoori chicken, so were thrilled to find a low carb version. The chicken is delicious even without the sauce, and the tzatziki sauce is so good. The tzatziki is great also as a vegetable dip, especially with 1 - 2 tsp dill added. - 4/10/11

This was awesome! Even my kids gobbled it up! I started with a greek salad. Since it's January, I grilled it indoors on my panini press/grill. I served it in whole wheat pitas with some lettuce and tomatoes. I can't wait to have it again. Yummy! - 1/24/11

Loved this one. Very tasty - makes a great gyro substitution with some chopped lettuce, tomato, & rice (or do this with leftovers!) I also added a little parsley to the sauce and mixed it in the food processor to make the sauce less chunky. The only problem with the chicken - sticks to the grill! - 5/23/09

Umm, sounds good- but you do know that a tandoori means cooked in a clay pot in a special oven? - 9/10/08

    Reply from NANALINDA5355 (9/11/08)
Yeah, LOL, that's how I originally cooked it, if you have the time. Once I grilled it and that's how it got it's name. My family likes it better grilled. This is how I listed it for my own use. A lot of people don't have a tangine.
