I love a strawberry banana smoothie but instead of milk I use 1/3 cup orange drink (bright n early) and a scoop of (vanilla flavor) protein powder. It adds an extra punch and still tasted great. It's my #1 am and anytime drink. - 3/21/09

This is good. I used Splenda instead of sugar and recommend freezing the fruit beforehand if you can so you can cut back on the ice. Then the sweetness of the fruit doesn't get watered down. :) - 2/8/09

It was very good. I didn't use any sugar or ice, I used frozen strawberries instead. however I found the serving size a little off. I was expecting one serving to be one cup not half a cup. Good nonetheless - 3/2/09

This is yummy! And easy. I used Truvia instead of sugar, just to add that touch of sweetness beyond the fruit. I will make this more often - especially to use up strawberries that I always buy, and forget to eat! (I think frozen would be good too - and then don't add ice!) - 1/27/09

I actually add a tablespoon of lower calorie peanut butter. It adds thickness and some sugar for added taste! - 7/8/08

I started with this basic recipe and kinda played with it to make it my own. I used 1 cup frozen berries, 1 cup frozen banana slices, 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup ff plain yogurt, 2 splenda. No ice. Filled two big wine glasses nicely for a super simple and yummy dessert for me and hubby. - 6/19/09

I love this recipe! been making it forever but i use splenda or equal instead. I think the strawberries need a little something to sweeten them up! - 7/9/08

about how much is in each serving size? I'm guessing the reason this is so low on calories is that this is not even a normal smoothie 8oz. serving size? Maybe both servings would be 8oz and that would be 140 calories and only one serving. That would still be pretty good for a smoothie though. - 7/8/08

I make this all the time. Even my 8 year old loves to make it. Sometimes we add extra fruit that we have on hand, like pineapple, mangos, blueberries or whatever. I like to add protein powder to them or fiber powder for an extra nutirent boost! - 6/6/10
