Introduction

This recipe is so easy. The roast falls off the bone and is so tender. Served with steamed veggies, it makes as excellent entree for dinner. It also is very good to freeze. I can't take all the credit for this recipe, my sister made it for me when I visited her once. This recipe is so easy. The roast falls off the bone and is so tender. Terrific tasting & very easy to make. BTW--noticed that some added additional liquid. That is totally unnecessary, as meat will produce its own gravy. yummy - 11/29/11

I made this, but added a cup of water, a handful of carrots I already had cut up in my fridge, and half a packet of taco seasoning...very good...and cleaned out my fridge at same time. :) Might have added a bit more salt by adding the taco seasoning though - 9/21/09

FANTASTIC! I did brown my roast in a little bit of olive oil in a skillet, and carmelized the onions in the roast drippings before tossing them into the crock. I also added several handfuls of carrots to make a complete meal. Came home from work and it was great! Everyone in the house gobbled it up. - 10/26/12

Trying this today. Just put it in the crockpot, and I added some carrots as mentioned by those who rated the recipe. When I get home from work I expect the house will smell AWESOME. - 9/22/12

I ignored DINAISPO's comment about not adding water because I added carrots. When I do this again I will not add the water. There was plenty of juice. Very easy and yummy recipe. A hit with my whole family. - 8/12/12

I made this yesterday for my family. I did add potatoes and carrots with some extra water but it was great! This was my first roast to ever cook and I will be making it again! - 1/9/12
